Okay, it should be known that I absolutely adore Studio TRIGGER’s Little Witch Academia. It’s gorgeous, full of life and energy, and best of all it is utterly engaging. I cannot stress how much this anime means to me and why you all need to watch this master-piece.
Here are my 3 top reasons to stream ASAP:
For starters: It has a top-notch story about persevering in the face of adversary. Nothing beats the feeling of an anime that promotes and exudes the motivating spirit of self-confidence. Frankly I found myself cheering this anime on with each and every happening. Akko is the epitome of a character that has confidence to boot and to spare. Her joy and fiery spirit is beyond words and entirely stunning.
Secondly the artwork is STUNNING. Okay, we gotta give credit where credit is due. The animation of various action scenes is juicy and succulent to the very last drop. The animation work is some of the most intimate that I have witnessed in quite a long time. Just some of the small and insane detail that goes into crafting these scenes is nothing short than utter love or admiration.
Thirdly the voice acting for the English dub is some of the most phenomenal work that I have listened to since “Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood” Honestly, the voice work is pretty darn good. Erica Mendez is leading the voice acting pool tree and I got to say, it is a pretty swanky voice acting pool. Others include Laura Post and Cristina See (Cristina See being of course a Viewster favorite). While I have yet to tackle the Japanese sub, I think I will have to give it a whirl once I get through the first 13 dubbed episodes.
If you happen to live in Japan or the United States then this one should be a no brainer. No word yet on a wider rollout of the series to other countries at this time, but Netflix has the license.
