3 Things You Must See at Hyper Japan 2015

Convention season is still going strong and after having visited Japan Expo in Paris last weekend, we’re hitting the road once again and heading to Hyper Japan in London today!

Naturally we don’t expect you to hit up the convention just to see us (though it would be AWESOME if you did)—so here’s a quick crash course on just a few of the many great things that will be happening throughout the weekend:

The Music

Hyper Japan is hosting quite a few stellar acts throughout the weekend with the two big headliners being X Japan and Eir Aoi. X Japan is one of the most successful bands in Japanese history and Eir Aoi is a rising star of the Japanese music scene having performed theme songs for Fate/Zero and Sword Art Online. You really do not want to miss either of the acts, if you’re into Japanese music.

The Guests

From Kobun Shizuno (Detective Conan) to Wada Kaoru, Hyper Japan will be featuring some amazing guests of honor who will be more than happy to talk about anime with all of you, and share some insider secrets as to how anime comes to life. If you’ve ever had even a passing interest in the production side of anime you don’t want to miss these panels!

The Japan Anima(tor)’s Exhibition

Over the last few months, you might have heard about a little project called “Japan Anima(tor)’s Exhibition” which has been debuting new works from young and upcoming creators in the industry. A brainchild of Hideaki Anno and Kawakami Nobuo, this project allows newcomers to experiment with their craft and expose their ideas to people from all around the world, and if you hit Hyper Japan this weekend you’ll get to see more than a few of these awesome features!

And if you get bored (right..), want a break, want to show off your cosplay, say a few things to our camera or just say hi to us, please come find us! We don’t bite. Promise. Also: we want to take a picture with you. All of you.
