1. Animated Resident Evil: Vendetta Coming to Cinemas Worldwide

For all you Resident Evil fans, the third CG-Animated feature in the Resident Evil franchise is hitting theaters this spring. Vendetta will be a follow-up to the previous entries Degeneration (2008) and Damnation (2012). The film will be released internationally on May 27th and for one night only, in the U.S. and Canada, on June 19th. Catch the trailer below.

2. Hulu About to PURGE Some Major Anime

It just has not been a great couple of months for One Piece. After Toonami dropped One Piece on March 25th, it was announced recently that Toei Animation’s contract with Hulu will run out on April 28thOne Piece has long been a staple for Hulu since appearing on the website in 2009. This is a major bummer for anime fans and a major blow for Hulu. Such titles as One Piece, Fist of the North Star (avail. on Viewster), Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball GT, Digimon Adventure tri., and Toriko will be removed from the site.

3. VIZ Media Releases New Novel, Tokyo Ghoul: Past

April 18th is going to be a great day for Tokyo Ghoul fans. VIZ Media, LLC, is releasing a new original novel TODAY! Tokyo Ghoul: Past (Past) covers the events that occur before the beginning of Tokyo Ghoul. Each novel will focus on a lead character, allowing for readers to discover each key character’s background and life before Tokyo Ghoul. 

Both the print and the digital release for Past are available right now. Readers will be able to find the print version for $12.99 while digital readers can purchase their copy through VIZ.com, the VIZ Manga App, or iBooks, Kindle, Nook, and Google Play for $8.99.
