We all get depressed sometimes. It just comes with the territory of being a human. We all have our own ways of combating this feeling though; some of us sleep, some of us eat, some of us work out… however anime is my therapy of choice [Tweet This] to perk me up when I’m feeling particularly down or depressed.
If you’re like me and like to watch anime to get through the low times, I’ve compiled a list of series available here on Viewster to watch which will raise your spirits a little.
Fantasy adventures filled with magic and finding out how to be true to yourself await you in this series! Just sit back and enjoy this one because you’re going to want to watch this all the way through to the end. Though I do need to warn you that the opening theme song WILL get stuck in your head, so be ready to hum it randomly for days after you’re done watching this.
One of our newer simulcasts to be added here on Viewster, this is a happy and perky show filled with strange action and over the top comedy. I look forward to watching this series every single week and find that no matter how foul I’m feeling at the time, this is the perfect antidote for whatever is ailing me.
A classic in every sense of the world, Ouran is a series that I can watch over and over again and never get tired of it. Much like Mikagura School Suite, the characters are what make this series so special. Memorable doesn’t even begin to describe Tamaki, the twins, Haruhi and the many others who make up this oddball cast.
Sometimes you need a series that isn’t so much happy but more inspiring, and The World Is Still Beautiful totally fits that bill. Nike is the strong character we all need in our lives, that reminds us that even in the darkest of situations we all have the power to make a cleansing rain fall from the sky, that can wash away all the pain that we’re feeling.
Another classic series that everyone should see at least once, Love Hina is a fun harem series that can lighten the mood with just a single episode (though, I highly doubt that once you start this one you’ll be able to stop at just one episode).
What say you? What anime series do you watch when you need to be cheered up? Sound off in the comments and let us know!
