We here at Viewster are all about supporting the anime industry, that’s why we only stream officially licensed anime, straight from Japan! In light of this, we’re starting a new series of posts called Viewster’s Industry Spotlights. Each spotlight will feature a different industry professional, so we can all take a moment to appreciate their work.
This first Anime Spotlight features the award-winning voice actress, Aya Suzaki.
Perhaps most famous for her highly energetic portrayal of Mako Mankanshoku from Kill la Kill, Aya Suzaki is an accomplished, young voice actress from Kanazawa, Japan. She’s a relatively new voice in the anime industry, but in 2015 she won an award for Best Female Newcomer at the 9th Annual Seiyu Awards, a ceremony for the recognition of voice acting talent.
If you prefer your anime with subs, you probably recognize Aya Suzaki‘s voice from Trinity Seven, where she portrays Selina Sherlock. Aya is also an accomplished singer, and performed the opening and ending credit themes to the series Tamako Market as well as portraying Minami Nitta in The Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls. Most recently you may have heard her voicing Emilia Galmar in the series D.Gray-Man. She’s had tons of rolls in the past few years, so even if you’re not a fan of these series you’ve most likely enjoyed her work.
