KKS Japanese Cooking: Dragon Ball Jello Recipe

In honor of the latest series, Dragon Ball Super, Tomokku shows you how to make REALLY easy Dragon jello Balls. Check out the recipe below.

FOR THE RED STARS: Add apple juice to a pot over medium-high heat. Just before boiling, remove from heat and add sugar and gelatin (be sure to use a brand that doesn’t require gelatin it to be soaked in water beforehand.) Mix well and add red food coloring. Remove any bubbles that appear.

Grease a 6” glass dish with vegetable oil, slowly pour in red gummy mixture. Cool in fridge until firm.

FOR THE JELLO BALL: Add apple juice to a pot over medium-high heat. Just before boiling, remove from heat and add sugar and gelatin like noted above. Remove any bubbles that appear.

Grease 3” diameter molds, slowly pour in liquid, leaving roughly 1cm of room on top of the mold, reserving 1/4 cup of the liquid. Cool in fridge until firm.

Using a small star-shaped cutout tool, cut out 28 stars. Note: Be sure to wet mold before cutting each star. Align stars on top of half of the jello balls, pour small amount of reserved jello liquid over star. Cool until firm.

Carefully remove jello halfs from molds, applying remaining gummy liquid to seal both ball halfs together. BAM!
