Our favorite Russian figure skater is back once again, and this time she’s heading to the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics. Professional figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva has made no secret of being a fan of anime, so it seems fitting that NBC’s official Twitter account for the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics posted a highlight video with an animated portrayal of Medvedeva, with the words “Yevgenia!!! On Ice”.

Fans have noted Medvedeva’s love for Yuri!!! on Ice before, going so far as to toss a giant plush rice ball after her skate at the Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final in Marseille, France in 2016, an homage to the gift Yūri Katsuki receives after skating.

And as we reported last year, Medvedeva is also an avid fan of Sailor Moon… and previously skated in Nagaoka in 2016 while in full cosplay — a feat which brought her an autographed portrait of Sailor Moon from Sailor Moon manga creator Naoko Takeuchi. She donned the costume again during her performance at the Exhibition World Team Trophy 2017 in Tokyo last April.

It’s awesome to see someone so well known boast their anime pride. What cosplay character are you hoping Medvedeva rocks next?
