Ok, this one’s actually a warm-and-fuzzy holiday movie. Tokyo Godfather’s is about forgiveness and family, following three homeless friends who find a baby on Christmas Eve. A middle-aged alcoholic, a former drag queen, and a dependent runaway girl make for some extremely unlikely godparents, and over time they’ll encounter a series of coincidences the reveal each others past. Be forewarned, this movie is a true heart-warmer, but it’s also full of emotion. You’ll face suicide, death, kidnapping, sorrow… But honestly, if you were going to choose one anime Christmas film to end the season on, stick with this one.
