It’s time yet again to alert the masses of the stories that may have slipped through your cracks. Here’s the latest anime news you may have missed:

Made in Abyss Gets a Second Season

I am truthfully ecstatic for this news; Made in Abyss is my favorite show from the Fall 2017 lineup. The second season for the show was announced at an event for Made in Abyss on November 26th with rave responses.

The announcement was part of a two-minute long Promotional Video (PV). Before you watch it however, the PV does contain some very minor spoilers for Season One. …So, if you have any interest in avoiding those, head over to Amazon Strike or HIDIVE and binge first. I highly recommend not missing out on this show.

No release date for Season 2 has been announced yet. PS, you can still get a free week membership at HIDIVE.

Live Action Gintama Coming to Home Video

According to ANN, Well Go USA has confirmed that they will release the Gintama live-action movie to the US on March 6th. Gintama‘s release will be on DVD, Blu-ray, a DVD combo pack, and Digital HD.

Gintama, which opened in theaters in Japan on July 14th, saw a worldwide box office of over $45 million. It is a resounding success considering the film had a budget of under $5 million. The success has led to a sequel titled Gintama Part 2 which comes out in Summer of 2018.

Garo! Garo! Garo!

The Garo franchise has had a hell of a season. First and foremost, we now have a trailer for the live-action movie for Garo: Kaminokiba, which opens on January 6th.

Then, the official website for the franchise revealed Garo: Crimson Moon is receiving an anime film project. The anime for Garo: Crimson Moon finished airing in April 2016 and received rather paltry reviews during its run. Let’s hope the movie redeems the title.
