Going, Going, Soon to Be Gone! 5 Great Movies Expiring Soon

What do William H. Macy, Uma Thurman, Ethan Hawke, Marisa Tomei, Vincent D’Onofrio, Adam Scott, January Jones, and Lukas Haas all have in common? They’re all staring in movies on Viewster that are expiring at the end of the month! That means as we welcome in the New Year, we say goodbye to these films. So don’t waste any more time deliberating on what to watch, and just trust us on this one.

Passenger Side

Michael’s drug-addicted brother Tobey calls on his birthday to beg for Michael’s help on some rather sketchy errands. So they embark on a rather dubious odyssey though the mysteries of LA, and as the day wears on, it becomes clear that this drive will lead them to unexpected destinations. Family bonds bend but don’t quite break on this comedic trail of lost loves and old grievances.

Adam Scott in a much different (and darker) role than in recent years

Available in Germany, Denmark, Finland, France, Norway, Sweden

Tape is a movie that has been adapted from a play by the same name. It is a movie full of drama and excitement. The direction of Richard Linklater is amazing. The whole movie is pictured around a motel room in Lansing. The movie revolves around three friends, Vince, Jon and Amy, who have met in a motel room and are discussing about the past memories. Later, Vince records the conversation with Jon in which he has admitted that he had raped Amy, the ex- girlfriend of Vince. Later when Amy arrives, new argument starts. She calls the police for sending both of them to prison, one for raping and other one for involving in drugs. The movie is full of suspense; you must surely watch it once.

Sadly no samurai swords, or crazy John Travolta adventures from Uma

Officer *tips hat*

Available in Australia, Germany, Denmark, Finland, France, Norway, Sweden, United Kingdom

Happy Accidents

Marisa Tomei (The Wrestler) stars in this inventive romantic comedy. Ruby Weaver is a compulsive dater with a bad habit of choosing men who need ‘fixing’. But Sam seems different… Until he claims to be from the future. As they fall in love, Ruby has to get to the truth. Is he mad, or just confused? Or is the truth even more surprising?

Vincent D’Onofrio’s softer side…

Available in Australia, Germany, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, United Kingdom

Swedish Auto

January Jones (Mad Men) and Lucas Haas (Inception) ground this quiet indie romance with strong, subtle performances. Carter (Haas) is a car mechanic in small-town Virginia. He sees movies alone. He waters his plants. He spies on Ann, his violinist love interest, in that way that’s sometimes charming in movies and in real life is probably called stalking. But he’s not the only secret admirer in town—Darla (Jones), a waitress from a nearby diner, is similarly fascinated with him. Yes, he’s pretty much the luckiest guy in the world.

there’s a fine line between stalking and admiring!

Available in Australia, Germany, Denmark, France, Finland, Norway, Sweden, United Kingdom
