How To Boost Your Gaming Console Security

How To Boost Your Gaming Console Security

Let’s face it, it’s about time you added a passcode or two-factor authentication to your gaming console. It’s uber easy, and you can do it either through your web browser or on the console itself.

Here’s how you secure your account from people looking to steal your personal information.

Nintendo Switch

To add two-factor authentication to your Nintendo account, open your web browser and log in with your Nintendo ID. Select your icon, and then Settings. Hit “Sign In & Security Settings” and scroll down to “2 Step Verification Settings”.

You’ll need an authentication app like Authy or Google Authenticator to scan Nintendo’s QR code and store your two-factor authentication settings on your phone. After enabling the security setting you’ll need to check your email for a verification code you’ll need to enter during the verification process.
