The boxy Poxels of Pokémon Quest are winning hearts worldwide. Launched worldwide on May 30th of this year, the free-to-play Switch and mobile game is making and breaking records daily. The mobile port earned more than $3 million in its first week alone.
To celebrate, the Poxels have invaded the real world. And it couldn’t be cuter.
A New Pokémon Adventure
Pokémon Quest flips the script on the Pokémon franchise, removing the concept of catching ‘mons and one-on-one battles. Instead, you lure new critters to your campsite with cooking pots. Different dishes attract different Pokémon, so it’s a good idea to switch up what you cook!
And instead of fighting trainers, you send teams out on quests. You can control them yourself or let them fight on their own.
The game features the return of many fan favorite Pokémon as “Poxels,” boxy redesigns reminiscent of pixelated game characters. Pikachu is back, of course, along with the rest of the original Kanto 151. You might even attract a Shiny!
