In case you haven’t heard, the third season for My Hero Academia (MHA) will premiere in April of 2018. An early look at the upcoming issue by Shonen Jump offers up this image:

After carefully scanning this picture’s every nook and cranny, it doesn’t appear the image reveals any clues for the upcoming season. If anything, it’s weird what it isn’t showing. Skigaraki is nowhere in this image. For that matter, no one from the League of Villains is in this image—which is odd considering they’ll likely be a huge part of season 3.

Also, what is Todoroki doing with his mouth? Compared to everyone else, he appears substantially less enthused. It looks like he’s waiting for the train to bring him his food.

When it comes to season 3 itself, the show will continue its “School Trip Arc” as all the students begin their summer training. But, because this is MHA, all the typical tropes will likely be thrown out the window and improved upon. It’s absolutely one of the reasons why so many people (including myself) are so in love with this show.

Now, while I’m in an absolute stupor about season 3, I’m going to wait for the next big announcement before I jump for the moon—the season length. I know it’s probably unlikely, but I’d love to see another 25 episode season. Having MHA from April-October was a gift that nobody deserved, but we all received anyway.

What about you, other MHA fans? Do you want a longer or shorter season?
